Our Story
It began with one private training session in Hollywood, Florida. One training session led to more. Parents began to trust our process. More training sessions transformed into weekly clinics. Suddenly, kids and parents alike started buying in. Weekly clinics developed into a summer day camp. Word of mouth spread and the Step It Up name gained traction. Before too long, the day camp morphed into a small sleep away camp.
Finally, the once small 15-camper sleep away camp quickly became the 275-camper, 45-staff member summer experience that will never be forgotten. Step-it-Up became a household name.
Step It Up has been able to provide a rounded experience for the Orthodox Jewish Basketball world and beyond. Not only are we able to foster the critical cultural values instilled within the home, but also provide the necessary accommodations for all religious needs. Step It Up is truly one of a kind: a hardwood heaven combined with an inspiring Jewish experience while still maintaining the nurturing Summer Camp environment.

The professional grade facilities at camp include: Nine full size courts, a college varsity weight room, three yoga studios, a full athletic training center, an Olympic sized pool, and a first-class outdoor athletic center. Our world class facilities are necessary for the developing hooper to make strides that they’ve never made before.

Tucked away in the great summer weather of New Jersey is The College of New Jersey – our home for 6 weeks out of the year. Brick buildings and a Northeastern terrain are the backdrops for our summer in New Jersey.
